13 Weeks Until the NFL Season

Here we are 9 short weeks until the beginning of another NFL Pre-season with the Hall of Fame Game! And only 13 1/2 weeks until opening Thursday night: NY GIANTS hosting WASHINGTON REDSKINS! If you are an NFL junkie like me, then you have already begun the countdown . Here's a question...

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???

I'll give my take on who I think will be better or worse after the offseason moves and draft.

BEST DRAFT

1) KANSAS CITY- First 6 picks will be in league for a long time barring injury
2) CAROLINA--- Got great value on top 4 picks, looking to go back to smash mouth FB
3) NY GIANTS-- Despite drafting at bottom of each round, got great value

WORST DRAFT

1) SAN FRANCISCO-Picked a 2nd rounder in the first and a fourth rounder in the second
2) OAKLAND------ McFadden and nothing else, hope he plays six positions
3) DENVER------- Clady is the only "maybe" starter in their draft

Next time I will prepare to start making a few preseason predictions, thanks for reading. Here's a proposal for you to ponder:

Super Bowl Change I'd Like to See

Here are some changes I'd like to see for future Super Bowls. Some of these changes are in the NFL's power and some in the hands of our elected officials.

First I'd like to see the game moved to Saturday because the parties can go much farther into the night with no worry of having to "get up and go to work" on Monday morning! That's in the league's control, the next is in our lawmakers control.

Move President's Day to the day after Super Bowl Sunday(or Saturday)! I don't think Washington or Lincoln will mind, them being deceased and all. All Federal, State, and most Local government employees and offices are closed as well as banks and some other industries as well! And the day after the Super Bowl is the LEAST PRODUCTIVE WORK DAY in America! It is also the day with the most absenteeism! So help the economy by eliminating that least productive work day AND giving an extra day (or two) for fans to savor Super Bowl weekend! It sounds like a WIN-WIN situation for the league and the nation as well!

Let me know what you think...
